POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an attempted late-night mugging in North Yorkshire.
The victim, a 55-year-old man, left the Thirsk and Sowerby Institute to head home at about 11.30pm on Tuesday, May 17, when he was attacked.
A local man, he took a small path known locally as the Little Path, located just off Sowerby Road.
He was pushed to the ground and personal items were demanded from him. He suffered slight injuries as a result but did not require hospital treatment.
Police want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen anything of note - or anyone who has CCTV covering the area.
Contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option two and ask for PC Nicola Pattinson or the Northallerton Investigation Hub.
