HOMEBUILDER Taylor Wimpey is supporting Walk to School Month by donating high-visibility snap wristbands to primary schools across North Yorkshire.

In the last decade, the number of children walking to and from school has halved from 70 percent, the charity Living Streets states.

The annual October campaign will be providing more than 14,900 wristbands to children across the country to encourage healthy living and reduce traffic.

Debbie Whittingham, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, said: “We’re proud to be supporting this worthy cause again this year. Walking is a great way to keep children active and we hope our wristbands will add some fun to the journey while keeping them safe on the way.”
