POLICE say they are becoming increasingly concerned for the safety of a 47-year-old man, who was last seen on Sunday.

North Yorkshire Police say Michael Webster, from Great Broughton near Stokesley, was last seen by his family on the evening of Sunday, August 6.

Alongside conducting extensive enquiries and searches in the local area, police are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have seen Michael or who have any information which could assist the investigation to contact them on 101.

Michael has been known to visit Sunderland in the past.

Sgt Simon Wilson from Northallerton Safer Neighbourhood Team said; “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Michael’s safety, as he has now been missing from home for five days.

“We continue to appeal for information about Michael’s whereabouts and would ask anyone who believes they may have seen him on Sunday evening or since to contact us on 101, select option 1 and ask to speak to the Force Control Room. Please quote reference 12170140088.

“Michael, if you see or hear this appeal, please contact the police or your family and let them know you are safe.”
