CYCLING legend Sir Chris Hoy has joined the growing support to keep Stokesley racing driver Scott McKenna racing this season.

The 15-year-old Ginetta Junior Championships competitor was shocked to discover last week his lead sponsor had terminated their sponsorship.

Scott has been making a name for himself in his rookie season in the Ginetta series, having taken two podium positions at Donington Park including his first win.

Scott’s parents, Alison and Andrew, launched a social media campaign to try and get the funds needed to keep their son racing and messages of support have now been posted from the likes of Sir Chris Hoy and LeMans winner Guy Smith.
