POLICE want to speak to motorists and pedestrians who may have witnessed an altercation at the roadside on Guisborough Road in Great Ayton.
Officers are investigating the incident involving a man and a woman near the junction with Newton Road at around 8.10am on March 27.
They had both got out of their vehicles and were arguing in view of passing motorists. One woman motorist stopped to come to the aid of the woman involved who had been assaulted.
Officers are seeking witnesses to the incident and are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time to contact them.
