A MAN is facing jail for a sex attack on a woman following a night out.
Terrance Richardson will be sentenced over the offence at Teesside Crown Court on February 22.
Richardson, of The Ropery, Pickering, pleaded guilty to two charges of sexual assault.
Judge Simon Bourne-Arton, QC, granted him bail, and said: “That should not lead you to the view that anything other than a custodial sentence will be considered in your case.”
The attacks were carried out following a night out in Guisborough in January last year.
Defence barrister, Duncan McReddie, asked for a background report to be written by a probation officer before Richardson is dealt with, and told the judge: “The defendant is a 53-year-old with nothing recorded against him since 1988.”
Judge Bourne-Arton told Richardson: “You have had the good sense to plead guilty to this indictment and you will be given the appropriate level of credit for those pleas, so that means your sentence will be reduced. I require a pre-sentence report on you so I know more about you.”
