SIR Tom Jones is to headline an outdoor concert this summer at Castle Howard in North Yorkshire.

Tickets went on general sale at 8am this morning (Friday, March 25) for the show on Saturday July 16.

Rachel Underwood, Castle Howard’s marketing manager, said: “The word legend is often bandied around but there are few artists for whom it is more appropriate than Sir Tom Jones.

“We’re incredibly proud to be able to bring him to Castle Howard. It promises to be a memorable and fun night.”

The Welsh superstar, most recently on our screens as a judge in The Voice,  has sold more than 100 million records worldwide with hits, including It’s Not Unusual, Delilah, Green Green Grass of Home, What’s New Pussycat, She’s a Lady, Kiss and Sex Bomb.

Tickets cost £40 plus booking fee from www.maconcerts.co.uk.

 Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult and under 4's are admitted free of charge.

This concert, promted by MAC Global UK & Thinkers Live is picnic-style. Gates open at 6pm, concert starts at 7.30pm and finishes at approximately 10pm.
