De-iced cars were too hot to handle
TWO cars that were stolen while being de-iced were recovered later the same day.
A Volvo V40 and Kia Ceed were stolen from Norton near Malton, North Yorkshire, after the engines were left running while being de-iced on Monday morning.
The Kia was found abandoned elsewhere in the Norton area a few hours later and the Volvo was located near Darlington following a police pursuit that afternoon.
A 20-year-old man from the Kirbymoorside area was arrested by Durham Constabulary in connection with the theft of the Volvo and on suspicion of motoring offences. He has been given police bail while enquiries continue.
