The Yorkshire Arboretum near Castle Howard is throwing open its doors and offering free entry to everyone on May 12 from 10am to 4pm. Director John Grimshaw said “Children are always admitted free here, but each year we also like to offer everyone the chance to explore this beautiful place at no charge.” The arboretum encompasses 120 acres of parkland, lakes, wildflower meadows and ponds
