MOVIE-lovers are being offered the chance to enjoy some laughter under the stars over the coming Bank Holiday weekend.
Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal near Ripon is hosting outdoor showings of two classic British comedies.
The heartwarming Calendar Girls, based on the true story of the Rylstone WI members who posed naked for a charity calendar, will be shown on August 30.
And that will be followed the next day by the madcap Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
The feature films will be preceded by newly digitised archive footage from the region, bringing local history and culture to life through film and giving a glimpse into a bygone era.
