THIS month’s third annual ‘Dark Skies Festival’ in the Yorkshire Dales looks set to be the biggest yet with more events added due to popular demand.
The festival sees a host of night-time activities take place across the Dales, with star-gazing, photography and overnight cycling trails just some of the events on the schedule.
Organisers have reported an “amazing” take up for events – so much so that more are being created to meet demand.
Tracey Lambert, one of the organisers at the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority (YDNPA), said: “This festival is all about connecting people with our starry skies and helping local businesses tap into ‘astro-tourism’.”
- There will be around 40 events running between February 9 to 25, with full details at darkskiesnationalparks.org.uk
