A MAN has been arrested after a pay-and-display parking machine in Richmond was targeted over the weekend.
Officers received a report at around 9pm on Saturday that two men were seen drilling near to the machine at the Nuns Close car park on Hurgill Road just after 9pm.
A vigilant member of the public passed information to police about this incident which resulted in a car being stopped on the A63 at Selby later the same night a quantity of coins, believed to be stolen during the theft, have since been recovered.
The arrested man has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
