THE winners have been announced for this year’s Richmond Best Dressed Easter Window Display.
In the retail category the award went to King Street Kitchen and Gifts, the non-retail winner was Hunton and Garget Solicitors while the award for best community involvement went to Irvings Property
Marcia McLuckie, chair of Richmond and Lower Swaledale Business Association, which organised the competition, said, “Judging was very difficult as all the entrants had put a lot of effort into decorating their windows for Easter.
“They are all very attractive and interesting to look at. We spent some time looking at each window and spotting different aspects that are associated with Easter. It was by no means an easy choice, but it was great fun.”
Shoppers and visitors to the town centre are now being invited to follow the clues in the Easter Window Trail, which is available in the participating businesses.
Completed trails should be handed in to one of those businesses by the closing date of April 22.
