MOUNTAIN rescue volunteers have been called to help a walker who collapsed on the Coast to Coast pathway in North Yorkshire.
Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team were called today by the ambulance service to rescue the hiker, who was on a path near Muker in the Yorkshire Dales.
The rescue members helped to get the casualty to the nearest road, from where the person was taken to hospital. An air ambulance also attended.
The walker's condition is not yet known.
