A MEMORY walk is taking place in North Yorkshire this weekend.
The five-mile hike begins in Leyburn on Saturday and will raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Elizabeth Fawcett has organised the Wensleydale Memory Walk.
Her mother, Margaret Baker, developed dementia in 2013 and now lives in a residential home.
Elizabeth, from Leyburn, said: “We have had so many people coming forward; most people have been touched in some way by dementia in the family.”
It begins in Commercial Square at 2pm, with registration from 1.30pm and heads to Preston-under-Scar. There will be concessionary refreshments at the Yorkshire Tea Party tearoom for people taking part.
