A MOTORCYCLIST has been airlifted to hospital with suspected serious injuries after crashing on a hill in the Yorkshire Dales.
North Yorkshire Police said it was called at 11.40am on Sunday to the incident at Cross Head Bank, on the A6108 Leyburn to Bellerby road, which is a popular route with motorcyclists.
The crash is understood to have happened a short distance from The Manor Bikers Cafe.
A police spokesman said it was believed one vehicle was involved.
The injured rider was taken to James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, by air ambulance.
