The funeral of John Robinson will be on February 1.
A BOOK of condolences has been opened for the chairman of Richmondshire District Council, who died suddenly last week.
John Robinson, 63, was elected to represent Richmond on the authority in 2007 and was serving as its chairman when he died on January 20.
The condolence book is available at the council’s headquarters - Mercury House in Richmond - until the day of the funeral, when it will be moved to Richmond Town Hall.
The funeral is to be held on February 1 at 1.30 pm, at St Mary’s Church, Richmond. The flag at Mercury House will remain at half-mast until sunset that day.
