A SPECIALIST holiday and caravan park situated in a picturesque valley has been sold for £2.95m.
Rosedale Abbey Holiday Park, in the heart of the North York Moors National Park, sits alongside the River Seven in Rosedale Abbey.
Property consultancy Sanderson Weatherall has sold the mixed holiday park, which sits around seven miles from Pickering.
The 26-acre plot has been bought by a farmer from the region who is looking to diversify.
The park has consent for more than 200 caravans, 75 tents, six camping pods as well as five holiday cottages and two forms of owner accommodation.
The modern glamping pods, which have electricity and Wi-Fi, are situated in a scenic setting by the stream.
The park boasts a children’s adventure play area and there are links to popular walking routes.
William Reynolds, holiday and caravan park specialist from the York office, said: “The park occupies a very desirable location and offers a great deal of further potential which the buyer quickly recognised.
“We continue to see incredibly high levels of demand for caravan and holidays park throughout the country as operators and investors seek to expand and diversify their portfolios with parks in Yorkshire being in particularly strong demand.”
