SEDGEFIELD'S meeting on Sunday hinges on a 7.30am inspection after heavy rain on Friday night put the fixture in jeopardy.
Officials are giving the course every chance following an initial check on conditions at noon on Saturday.
The County Durham circuit was hit by heavy rainfall overnight, which left areas of standing water on parts of the course.
"We're going to have a look at 7.30 tomorrow. We're currently raceable, but we're heavy," said clerk of the course Roderick Duncan.
"As it stands, we could find a line to get racing on.
"The rain has lessened and the standing water has started to recede.
"There is more rain forecast, but some of it looks like it's coming after racing."
