A NATIONAL charity is holding its first ever support session for people living with incurable, secondary breast cancer in the Hambleton and Richmondshire area.

Breast Cancer Care is running the free sessions to give tailored and trustworthy information from experts and nurses and to help those suffering from the condition connect with people in the same position.

The first session is being held at the Evolution Business Centre in Northallerton on May 3 at 10am.

Sylvia Ward, head of specialist support services at Breast Cancer Care, said: “Talking openly and honestly with others who understand what it means to live with secondary breast cancer offers such vital support.

“And having expert speakers provides a huge wealth of information.

“So whether someone has questions after an initial diagnosis, is looking for tips about dealing with the day-to-day challenges, or just a space to relax, chat and share, Living with Secondary Breast Cancer is always there.”
