A MAN who has set himself the challenge to highlight different charities as he walks from Newcastle to London will be helping an organisation in North Yorkshire on Saturday.
Basil Al-Khbass plans to stop off in towns and cities to promote a different charity each day for his Dawn to Dusk challenge during Ramadan.
On Saturday, June 20 he will be stopping off at the Age UK North Yorkshire offices in Northallerton to help promote the national Age UK campaign on combating isolation and loneliness.
The campaign aims to reduce the number of older people who have no contact with family or friends and make sure they have an active involvement in their local communities.
Basil will be promoting his challenge and asking people to support and donate funds to help Age UK locally in Northallerton town centre on Saturday afternoon, July 20.
