OLDER residents are being invited to help influence a council strategy that takes their needs into account in Hambleton.
Hambleton Over-Fifties Forum and Hambleton District Council are currently updating their strategy for older people.
The strategy will ensure their needs are taken into account when the council considers policies and decisions for the district.
The meeting will take place on Monday, March 9 at Hambleton District Council’s Civic Centre at Stone Cross, Northallerton.
During the morning they will be looking at transport, housing, welfare, health and leisure and in the afternoon they will be looking at community involvement, winter weather, isolation, austerity measures and technology.
The day will last between 10am and 3pm.
People wanting to take part can chose which workshop they attend. Places are limited. To attend contact Paul Fisher on 01609-771624.
