A TEENAGER was raped in a dark alleyway by two men during a 50-minute ordeal which left her looking as if she'd been in a fight, a court heard.

Witnesses who saw the alleged victim afterwards said she was covered in blood, with cuts and grazes to her back, distressed and dishevelled, a jury was told.

Kristofer McLaren and Craig Whitelaw are said to have attacked the virgin outside Amadeus nightclub in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, last summer.

The men, both aged 21 and from Thirsk, claim the clubber willingly went with them and the sexual activity that took place was entirely consensual.

Teesside Crown Court heard today (Tuesday, February 3) that the teenager was drunk and had no memory of meeting the pair or speaking to them inside the club.

Prosecutor Paul Newcombe told the jury that the pair took advantage of the fact she was intoxicated, and was "stumbling repeatedly and often".

"They saw her as an easy target," Mr Newcombe said. "She told the police that they led her down an alley . . . she told them she wanted to go back to her friends.

"She said this repeatedly but the defendants ignored her pleas. They kept asking for a threesome, particularly McLaren. By her repeated requests to leave [she] made it perfectly clear that she did not consent to sexual activity."

Mr Newcombe said the men showed "an evident lack of concern" by leaving her in the alley, and added: "It typifies the attitude they had displayed towards her in the alleyway."

In a taxi from the scene, one of them "wondered aloud" if she would have got back in the club due to her state, and "clearly pleased with themselves" asked the driver if he had ever had a threesome.

Whitelaw later sent a series of texts, one of which was to McLaren which said: "grim as f*** ha ha."

Further texts to McLaren described the incident as "funny as f***" and said: "mate, I'm howling."

McLaren, of Rymer Way, Thirsk, and Whitelaw, of Sutton, nearThirsk, each deny two charges of rape, and Whitelaw a further count of sexual assault.

Under cross-examination, the teenager denied kissing both men in the club shortly before leaving with them, and said she played down how drunk she was to police as she was embarrassed about her state.

The jury heard blood tests showed she had twice the legal limit of alcohol for driving.

The trial continues.
