THREE Help for Heroes beneficiaries are cycling through the region on their way from John O’Groats to Land’s End.
Former Royal Engineer Steve Craddock, who grew up in Newcastle, is among the three, who stopped off at the charity’s Phoenix House recovery centre at Catterick Garrison for an overnight stay.
He has been joined by Naval veteran Lee Patmore and retired Royal Marine Brian Kilgannon on the challenge to raise funds for Help for Heroes and support their wounded comrades.
The friends are extending the usual 960-mile route by 500 miles in order to visit all four H4H centres along the way.
