RESIDENTS and motorists are being warned about a planned closure of a roundabout at the Catterick central junction on the A1 next week.
As part of the A1 Leeming to Barton improvement scheme, the eastern roundabout and its slip roads will be closed from 8pm on Friday, February 17 to 6am on Monday, February 20 for repairs to the carriageway.
Once the eastern roundabout has been closed to traffic diversion routes will be as follows:
Traffic using the A6136 and approaching from Catterick Garrison and Colburn will divert north via Scotch Corner before returning south on the A1. Brompton-on-Swale and Catterick Village will be accessible via Catterick north junction.
Traffic using the A1 and approaching from the north will be diverted south to Leeming junction before returning north on the A1 towards Catterick Central junction to re-join the A6136.
