A CHARITY has come alive with the sound of music - with the help of a giant outdoor xylophone.
Northallerton-based Northdale Horticulture was given a cash boost of £1,485 by Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire and the charity has used the donation to buy the huge wooden xylophone to help people with multi-sensory disabilities.
Service manager Simon Cross said: “We strive to create an environment in which vulnerable adults can be supported to help achieve their full potential.
“The outdoor xylophone will not only help our members to learn, but also to have fun.”
The charity helps adults with learning difficulties develop a wide range of social and vocational skills through work-based activities such as gardening and woodwork.
Mr Cross added: “I would like to thank Taylor Wimpey on behalf of the whole charity, it really is much appreciated.”
