AN E-FIT has been released of a man who attacked a woman in her own home.

North Yorkshire Police say the man entered the 27-year-old’s home in Colburn and assaulted her.

At about 7.30pm on Tuesday, August 23, the victim had been sitting in the lounge of her house in Beechwood Grove with the rear patio doors of the property open.

A man then entered the property via the open doors and upon confirming the identity of the woman – he grabbed her by her hair and punched her twice in the face, causing facial injuries. He then left the house via the back garden.

Police are now appealing to the public for information to help them identify the man.

He is described as between 27 and 31 years of age, white, 5ft 7in in height, medium build with short dark hair and a pale complexion with gaunt cheeks and stubble on his face. He is also described as having a yellow/stained tooth on the upper left side of his mouth.
