A DENTAL practice which held a Christmas raffle throughout December has presented a cheque for £230 to Bedale Community Meals on Wheels.

Organisers at Bedale Dental Practice encouraged clients to support the charity with the Christmas raffle. Meals on wheels which runs from the Chantry Hall, near St Gregory’s Church in Bedale supplies meals three days a week to dozens of residents in the town and surrounding area.

Shirley Wilson, of Bedale Dental Practice, said:‘We are pleased to support such a worthy local cause as Bedale Community Meals On Wheels. This is a vital service in the community and we are delighted to have raised £230 for them from our Christmas raffle.”

As a Christmas boost the community meals on wheels service, led by Diane Hosking, gave elderly people a week of free meals in the run up to Christmas with a bonus of traditional fare, including roast turkey dinners and mince pies.
