A CALL has gone out for more volunteers for a vital advice scheme.
Citizen Advice Hambleton and Richmondshire is looking for more volunteers to become members of the Adviceline team in the Northallerton and Richmond offices.
Advice co-coordinator Rachel Hunter said because of the success of the Adviceline project, demand for the service from clients across the region had risen, and more volunteers were needed to take up the role of telephone assessors to meet the demand.
“This is a great opportunity for people to join a team of great volunteers, learn new skills, increase employability skills and do something for the local community,” she said.
“The training is quick and easy, with lots of support, and volunteers can be helping clients within a couple of weeks.”
For more information contact Rachel or Leanne on 01748 826532 or volunteer@hambleton.cabnet.org.uk or call into the offices at 23 Newbiggin, Richmond or 277 High Street, Northallerton.
