A RECRUITMENT campaign to encourage members of the public to sign up as member of a health trust will start at an information roadshow about mental health services in the region.

The Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust (TEWV) will have staff members in Northallerton Town Square on Wednesday to give information mental health, learning disability and substance misuse services it provides.

The Foundation Trust is also looking for people to join its board as a public member, which allows people to give their input into how mental health services provided in their area.

Kathryn Ord, head of member services, said: “At our recruitment event people will be able to find out what being a NHS Foundation Trust means and how they can get more involved and have a say in future developments by joining as a member. “Involving members, service users, carers and the general public in our events is part of our on-going programme.”

People will also be able to talk to trust staff from the local older people’s mental health services and the local substance misuse service at the roadshow.
