TWO high-profile outdoor rock concerts have sold out more than a month before the bands are due to appear.
Keane are to appear in Dalby Forest, near Pickering on June 25, and Simply Red will be performing at the same venue the following day.
And both will play before capacity 5,000 crowds after the last few tickets were eagerly snapped up by fans.
The blockbuster demand has delighted organisers from the Forestry Commission who say it underlines the emergence of the 8,600 acre woodland, near Pickering, as a top choice for bands and revellers alike.
Forester Paul Cody said: "We have been thrilled by how quickly these gigs have sold out.
"It’s tremendous news as some of the cash raised is ploughed back into recreation and conservation projects in North Yorkshire so it will produce tangible benefits."
Previous acts to play the North York Moors beauty spot include Status Quo, Paul Weller, the Beautiful South, UB40, McFly and Travis.
