A COUNCIL worker turned top-selling author is returning to the region to talk about her journey into publishing.
Jodi Taylor worked for North Yorkshire County Council as a facilities manager for 18-years before embarking on her writing career at the age of 60.
After self-publishing her first book, What Could Possibly Go Wrong?, the publisher Accent Press signed her up.
Ms Taylor went on to write a series of well-received books, the Chronicles of St Mary’s, and earned more than 1,000 five-star reviews on the popular website Amazon.
Ms Taylor will be at Northallerton Library on December 8 where she will share anecdotes and advice to aspiring authors as well as taking questions.
She will be joined by Hazel Cushion, managing director of Accent Press, who said: “Jodi Taylor could write a shopping list that would make you laugh.
“She is a brilliant author. Her books are utterly addictive and the engagement of her fans unprecedented.”
The event starts at 2pm and admission is £5.
