A HORTICULTURAL charity is bringing the joy of the seaside inland this summer with new activities for children.
Northdale Horticulture, a garden nursery based on Yafforth Road in Northallerton, has opened its annual family summer trail.
This year the theme will be the beach and youngsters can play in a giant sandpit at Northdale’s play park, create mini boats and other crafts and take part in two different treasure hunts. Ice-creams will also be on sale.
Centre manager, Simon Cross, said “It’s very exciting being able to bring a touch of the seaside to the North Yorkshire countryside.”
The trail runs throughout the summer from 10am to 4pm and there is no need for prior booking.
Northdale Horticulture provides work-based education and employment opportunities for adults with learning difficulties, including woodwork and landscape gardening.
