MORE than £300 has been raised for a charity set up by a couple who lost a baby to a rare lung disorder.
The David Ashwell Foundation was set up in March 2011 to raise money for research into Alveolar Capillary Dysplasia (ACD), a rare congenital disease.
The charity was set up by Amelia Ashwell Lake, from Stokesley, after the disorder sadly claimed the life of her son, David Ashwell, when he was just 15 days old.
To date Amelia and her husband Simon have raised more than £134,000 which has funded medical research into the rare disease.
Most recently £313 was raised with the help of Jo Booth, from Stockton, who donated all of her sales commission from an Usborne Books at Home party she led at Amelia Ashwell’s home in Stokesley recently.
