PARTY TIME: Ripon Spa Gardens will be celebrating its bandstand’s 110th birthday with a community party on June 2. There will be music and events in the bandstand throughout the day from 11am to 4pm.
HALL'S AWARD: Kiplin Hall, near Scorton, Richmond, was among the winners at the Museums and Heritage Awards for Excellence. It won a top award for the marketing campaign for its Plate Appeal exhibition in 2012 which boosted visitor numbers by 24 per cent.
ART SHOW: An exhibition of paintings by local artist Suzanne McIvor is being held at Fountains Hall, at Fountains Abbey near Ripon, until June 8. For further information visit nationaltrust.org.uk/fountainsabbey
