The campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) is urging people to celebrate the cut in beer tax by supporting local pubs. It is launching its Community Pubs Month this month (April), which aims to get people to use their local pubs, following the budget announcement beer duty would be cut by 1p per pint.
DEVELOPMEMT CONTRACT AWARDED: The contract to complete a £100m housing scheme in York has been awarded to David Wilson Homes, the company which carried out the first phase of work. The Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust awarded the contract following a competitive tender process. The builder will now work on phases two, three and four of the scheme.
