THREE men have been charged in connection with a drive-by shooting outside a North-east nightclub.
All three will appear in court tomorrow (Fri) charged in connection with the shooting outside the Tup Tup Palace nightclub in Newcastle in June 2015.
During the incident, a gunman opened fire and seriously injured a door supervisor outside the St Nicholas Street nightspot.
Police carried out raids at 12 addresses across Tyneside on Wednesday morning.
John Henry Sayers, 53, from the Walker area of Newcastle, and 35-year-old Michael Dixon, also from Walker, have both been charged with conspiracy to murder.
A third man, 28-year-old Russell Sturman, of Gosforth, Newcastle, has been charged with assisting an offender in the commission of an offence.
All three will appear before South East Northumberland Magistrates' Court in Bedlington.
The other nine men arrested during Wednesday's raids have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
