APPEAL: Northumbria Police are looking for witnesses to hit-and-run incident in Sunderland
A TEENAGE girl has been injured in a hit-and-run.
The 14-year-old girl was knocked over in Sunderland on Saturday night.
Police say the driver of the vehicle, thought to be a black 4x4, drove off after the incident, which happened at around 9.40pm outside Riverside Health Centre in Borough Road.
The girl was treated in hospital for her injuries, which are not thought to be received hospital treatment for her injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to trace the driver. Anyone with information is asked to contact Northumbria Police on the 101 non-emergency number or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.
