SUNDERLAND and Newcastle fans have been taking to social media ahead of tonight's crunch game at the Stadium of Light.
A win for the Black Cats over Everton and Newcastle will be relegated to the Championship.
Any other result and the battle to avoid the drop will go to the last weekend of the season.
It appears that most Newcastle fans have accepted their possible fate, while Sunderland fans are more bullish of staying up.
Magpies supporters appear more keen to ensure the services of manager Rafa Benitez are retained, while Black Cats supporters are hoping the fact that Sam Allardyce has never been relegated will help their cause.
Below are some of the Tweets from both sides of the divide.

Huge games for #NUFC later. It may be the dreamer in me but my gut is saying draws for #SAFC and #NCFC leaving the tiniest shred of hope.

May I suggest that #nufc fans spend this evening doing fun stuff, spending quality family time, going to meet mates etc. Avoid the telly.
