POLICE investigating an attempted rape of a 14-year-old girl in Newcastle have re-issued an e-fit of a man they would like to identify.
The incident was reported on September 3 last year (2014).
"It's believed the incident happened in the park opposite Bedeburn Road and Newbiggin Lane in Newcastle sometime in May," said a spokesman for Northumbria Police.
"Officers have been carrying out enquiries to establish what happened and in December last year released an e-fit of a man they would like to speak to as it's thought he may have information that can help with enquiries.
"Detectives are re-issuing the appeal in the hope the man, or anyone who knows his identify, will get in contact."
Anyone who recognises the image, or has information about the incident, is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 ext 69191 quoting reference 517 030914 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
