A SKY diver has raised £700 for a North-East palliative care charity.
Stephen Forster, whose day job is as a mortgages assistant with the Leeds Building Society on Tyneside, jumped from approximately 12,500 feet at Peterlee skydive academy.
Travelling at 120mph in tandem with an instructor, he landed on the ground after seven minutes.
A total of £700 was raised from the jump for St Oswald’s Hospice, in Newcastle, which included £250 from the building society.
Mr Forster said: “I’m delighted to have raised £700 and I would like to thank everyone who has sponsored me.
“I chose St Oswald’s Hospice after visiting the charity and seeing first-hand their fantastic work.”
