THREE teenagers are in critical condition in hospital after taking multiple sclerosis medication.
Three boys, aged 14, 15 and 16 years, were taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital on Sunday evening after taking medication which was not prescribed for them.
Two of the children were later transferred to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle and all three remain in a critical but stable condition.
Police say they are now trying to find the location in Sunderland where the teenagers took the tablets to make sure that no medication is still left where others could come across it.
Police are keen to trace the remaining medication which may be in the area of Kidd Square and warn anyone who finds the medication to hand it straight in to police.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 ext 69191.
