A WOMAN in a disability scooter has been robbed by a group of teenagers.
The 24-year-old was left with a minor head injury after she was hit from behind before money was taken from her.
It happened at around 12.10pm today (Wednesday, May 13) on Benwell Lane, Newcastle.
The teenagers are believed to be aged 16-17 and the main offender was wearing a blue waterproof coat.
A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: "This has been a disgraceful incident where a vulnerable young women has been targeted.
"This happened in the middle of the day and I hope anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has any information will come forward to police."
The victim was left shaken by the attack.
