ENQUIRIES into the death of a teenager found hanged at a house party last December are progressing, a coroner heard.
Sarah Clerkson, originally from Sunderland, was discovered at a house in Ash Grove, Spennymoor, County Durham, during the early hours of Sunday, December 8.
The 14-year-old, believed to have been in foster care provided by Sunderland City Council, was taken to the University Hospital of North Durham but medics were unable to save her.
An inquest into her death was opened and adjourned at Crook on December 13 and a review into the case was held this morning (Tuesday, November 11).
Coroner Andrew Tweddle heard that safeguarding reports about Sarah were being examined by Sunderland City Council this week and were likely to be sent to him next month, following a meeting with the family.
Mr Tweddle adjourned the case for a further review on Monday, January 12.
