Eight arrested
A 24-YEAR-OLD man has died after an incident in the Heaton area of Newcastle this morning.
Police responded to calls of a disturbance at a home in Plessey Terrace at around 4.50am and arrived to find an injured man.
He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Eight people have been arrested on suspicion of assault and are currently helping police with enquiries.
The death is being treated as unexplained at this time.
Officers will continue to patrol in the area to provide reassurance to the community.
