BEAMISH Museum is offering visitors a taste for Easter through the ages this weekend.
Easter themed activities will include egg-painting and jarping - also known as egg tapping - making bonnets and an egg rolling competition.
Matthew Henderson, engagement and participation team assistant, said: “We’ve got loads planned for the whole family during the Easter holidays with a chance to learn about how Easter was celebrated during the 1820s, 1900s and 1940s.”
Events will be take place from Saturday to Monday.
On Good Friday a special memorial table will be unveiled in the pit village chapel, which has been donated in memory of 2nd Lieutenant Henry Greener, 6th Durham Light Infantry, and Corporal John William Greener, 19th Northumberland Fusiliers, who lost their lives serving in the First World War.
