A MAN charged with the attempted murder of woman has entered a not guilty plea.
Darren Chawner, 29, of Park Road, South Moor, near Stanley, County Durham, appeared at Newcastle Crown Court on Monday morning.
He is also facing two counts of false imprisonment following an incident in the early hours of Saturday, August 6.
He had denied all charges
Chawner was remanded into custody ahead of pre-trial hearing on January 4.
A trial date has been fixed for February 6.
