FIVE bands are to perform at a new hard rock festival taking place next month.
The first Burning Rock Festival takes place in Stanley on Saturday, September 10.
The full-day show will take place at the recently-opened community football centre in Tyne Road and features live music from The Siege UK, Cherry Leather, The Distorted, Whipfist, and Lana and the Drivers.
There will also be an acoustic side stage, plus a licensed bar, food and market stalls, and children’s entertainment including face painting and inflatables.
The festival has been organised by Stanley Events, following the success of previous music festivals at Oakies Park, which have run for the last five years.
Gates open at 1.30pm, with live music until 9pm.
Advance tickets are available now for £5, or cost £6 on the day, and under 16s get in free.
