A QUAD biker rider is in hospital with serious head injuries following an accident.
The 35-year-old man was badly hurt when he came off the vehicle on a track off Thornley Road, Wheatley Hill.
The man was taken to James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, by the Great North Air Ambulance.
The paramedic and doctor team had placed the injured man in a medically induced coma.
He was said to be in a ‘critical condition’ when he arrived.
The incident happened at 3.50pm yesterday. No other vehicles were involved.
