THE region’s first conference on coaching women and girls in sport is to take place last this month.
The event takes place at East Durham College in Peterlee and is aimed at female coaches and all coaches who train women and girls.
It will focus on how to engage and retain women and girls in sport. During the event, new research will be revealed into the social and cultural barriers influencing female participation in sport
The Woman and Girls Coaching Conference takes place on Wednesday, July 15 from 6pm to 9pm and costs £25 per person.
